Have you ever wondered how people keep their cars in tip top shape? It’s pretty simple actually. They do daily car care on their vehicle so that messes don’t accumulate. We’re aware that it’s a drag having to keep up with a basic maintenance schedule like oil changes and tire rotations, so daily car maintenance doesn’t seem appealing to you. Nevertheless, once you actually do it on your N Charlotte Toyota, it’s more stressful thinking about it than it actually is doing it. Not to mention, it’s in your best interest because this will increase the longevity of your vehicle. With this in mind, Toyota of N Charlotte has a couple of daily car care tips, here it goes!
Daily Car Care Checklist from Toyota of N Charlotte
Tip #1: Clean it out everyday
You should clean out your trash on the days you brush your teeth, which is everyday (hopefully). We don’t mean completely detail your car every day, that’s a waste of your free time, and “time is money!” What we mean is if you have any trash from coffee cups, snacks, receipts, etc, take it out of your car that same day. If you do so, it won’t accumulate and you’ll be free of insects and pests because you’ll be free of crumbs.
Tip #2: Check your tires
As part of your daily car care routine, squeeze in a tire check. Just glance over them before heading to work or when you get back home from running errands. That way if there is an issue spotted (flat, under inflated, etc), you will be able to take care of it right away. If you need any assistance, bring your car in to Toyota of N Charlotte to our service center!
Tip #3: Do a walk around inspection
Since you’re already taking a look at your tires, take a look at the rest of your N Charlotte Toyota for any scratches or bumps. It’s good to do this at least once a day so that you can spot accident damage right away. Think about it, shopping carts have a mind of their own.
Tip #4: Don’t ignore warning signs
Ignoring warning signs is not the ideal car care move to make for your vehicle. Dashboard warning lights are there for a reason and can actually be the thing to help you in a lief or death situation (don’t mean to sound melodramatic, but it’s true!) Because fo the fact that driving a car is done on the daily, people forget that it’s actually one of the most dangerous things you do on a daily basis. So the next time your warning lights go off, tend to the situation right away.
Tip #5: Don’t let your gas get to empty
Driving on empty can do serious damage to your fuel pump and engine over time. Try to keep your tank filled at least a quarter of the way.
We hope that with these daily car care tips, you’ll be able to keep up your N Charlotte Toyota’s health. If you have any questions or need to schedule routine service, stop by Toyota of N Charlotte today! We’re located at 13429 Statesville Rd just off I-77 at exit 23 in Huntersville.
